At Home Event ~ “The Impact of Route 128 on Bedford” presented by the Bedford Historical Society

Bedford, Massachusetts was once a quiet, small farming community with more pigs then people.  Ashley Rooney of the Bedford Historical Society will share how in the 20th century, Bedford changed into a defense-oriented research complex with strong ties to the academic community and the federal government.  One major change agent was the construction of Route 128, also known as America’s Technology Highway.
